The Widening Participation and Social Mobility (WPSM) team are excited to recruit a maternity cover for our Associate Director role. Working closely with the department Director, this role will be responsible for operationalising widening participation strategy and ensuring operations are channelled effectively toward meeting strategic goals. The Associate Director will line manage four sections of staff that support the access and success of students from underrepresented groups. The postholder will cultivate and uphold a professional, evaluative and respectful culture within the department and oversee high-quality output and interactions of the WPSM team. The postholder will work with the Director to ensure the University responds to policy developments in a way that reflects its strategic mission and values, and that access and participation work is governed effectively. They will ensure productive, cross-institution working relationships so that students from underrepresented backgrounds have equality of opportunity when accessing, succeeding at and progressing from the University.
