City St George’s, University of London and St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust’s Joint Research and Enterprise Services (JRES) are recruiting a Research Ethics and Integrity Officer, to join the Research Governance and Delivery Team.
The JRES is looking for an enthusiastic, organised, proactive and flexible individual to work within the Research Governance and Delivery team.
The role will provide specialist advice and guidance on all matters relating to achieving and maintaining compliance with the Research ethics and Integrity standards and research governance requirements. Using your expert knowledge you will take a lead role in the implementation of relevant policies and development of information resources to ensure best practice and understanding amongst staff of a breadth of ethical and regulatory requirements.
The role will manage, support and monitor the internal University Research Ethics Committee (SGREC). With a strong focus on customer service, you will advise and support academic staff and students throughout the SGREC and HRA (where applicable) research approval processes.
You will have excellent communication skills, be well-organised with the ability to multi-task and to work well as part of a busy team. You will be a self-starter and enjoy the challenge of making things happen in a fast-moving environment. You will have strong office experience in a customer-focused environment. Previous experience with HEI ethics committees and/or HRA processes would be advantageous.
