Applications are invited for the post of Teaching Associate in the School of Geography. We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Associate with an advanced level of GIS expertise along with experience of manipulating and printing 3D data. The role-holder will support computer-based practicals for modules including Introduction to Geographical Information Systems, Spatial Decision Making and Techniques in Human Geography (data), as well as providing technical support for research focusing on the development of the Projection Augmented Relief Model (PARM) and other digital assets such as the Nottingham 3D photographic mesh. The applicant will work closely with the University’s ‘City as Lab’ initiative to develop workflows that maximise the use and impact of the digital assets.

Applicants must have a PhD or equivalent in a relevant subject area or equivalent extensive professional/research experience along with teaching experience.
The Teaching Associate will be involved in the development of new teaching and assessment practices and/or developing systematic methods for evaluating and disseminating these practices within the School.
The post is offered on a full time (36.25 hours per week), fixed-term contract until 30 June 2025. Job share arrangements may be considered.
