This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a world-class team supporting UK companies to accelerate their growth through innovation, investment and partnership delivering economic impact into the UK economy.
Building on a 15-year track-record of high-quality event delivery, the purpose of this role is to oversee a portfolio of business support programmes across the SETsquared Partnership, and to provide specific development support and expertise on named projects.
About us
SETsquared is the enterprise partnership of six research-intensive universities – Bath, Bristol, Cardiff, Exeter, Southampton, and Surrey. We provided a range of support programmes which help student and researcher enterprises, start-ups, spin-outs and scale-ups to develop, grow and attract investment and funding.
You will be working as part of a dynamic and friendly team of events staff along with a wider team at each of the individual Universities within the SETsquared Partnership.
About you
A self-starter with energy, genuine enthusiasm for online/offline events and training programmes, and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining high quality work and attention to detail. With a wide stakeholder group and geography, this is a complex and challenging but stimulating and rewarding environment to work within.
Our ideal candidate is adept at multi-tasking and unfazed by the demands of multiple and varied responsibilities. You will possess excellent interpersonal skills, together with a positive, professional manner and the ability to deal tactfully and confidently with people at all levels. Given the nature of this role, excellent attention to detail is critical as is the ability to prioritise work effectively and to work to deadlines on your own initiative. A proven track record of training programme management is essential, with preferable experience from within the innovation sector, as you will be hitting the ground running, alongside strong IT literacy and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
