About the Role:
This is an exciting time to be joining the Estates & Facilities Services as we seek to recruit a series of key maintenance roles including Supervisors, Craftspersons, Operatives and a Technician to further strengthen our Asset Management team responsible for the planned and reactive maintenance of the University’s building mechanical/electrical systems and equipment.
For our Chelmsford campus, we are recruiting for a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a small team of Maintenance Craftspersons with the responsibility for facilities operational management to ensure all services and building operational requirements are met and delivered. You will lead on the inspection, service, repair, and maintenance of mechanical & electrical equipment and the install and commission of new equipment.
You will hold a BTEC or equivalent qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. With previous technical hands-on field experience, ideally gained in a multi-site environment, you will have strong interpersonal communication and organisational skills and the ability to motivate a team to drive performance.
