About the College

We are excited to welcome applicants to teach on our highly successful Engineering programmes at the Leek Campus. We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic lecturer of Engineering that can teach across a range of qualifications including T Levels in manufacturing, processing and control, PEO and various apprenticeships within engineering.
About the Role
Applicants should be qualified to level 5 or above in mechanical and electrical engineering that includes understanding of engineering material properties, design and manufacturing process, linking CAD with CNC machines, manual drawing techniques to British standards and understanding inspection and quality assurance/control within Engineering. Along with this, an ability to teach in the engineering workshop to deliver the CNC units that cover programming, setting, machining and offline programming along with milling/turning (basic and advanced) and hand fitting.
This role will be shared between classroom and the engineering workshop, but we also require candidates to have the digital skills to deliver effective lessons using a range of online resources and platforms (for example Microsoft teams, Smart Assessor or Blackboard).
About You
Our tutors need to be adaptable, creative and resourceful in the face of the current challenges in education. We welcome candidates with a range of experience including experienced engineering teachers. We are however also seeking applications from recent engineering graduates and experienced industry professionals with good communication skills, a passion for computing and a desire to help young people to succeed. A financial contribution towards a Cert Ed/PGCE will be available to the right candidate.
