This is a fixed term appointment for 12 months and is full time for 35 hours per week
This role is based within the Research and Innovation Division, specifically the Research Awards Team, at the London School of Economics and involves the management of a portfolio of research grants. The postholder is the main point of contact for research and innovation funding, working closely with the Research Development Team, academics and researchers. We are currently operating a hybrid working pattern with two days per week on site and the remainder remote.
The main responsibilities include providing oversight of the key stages of research management from the point a project is awarded funding to the completion and closure of the project, ensuring compliance at each stage.
Candidates should have a degree level qualification or equivalent experience. As well as having a high level of numeracy and literacy they should also possess excellent Excel skills and be proficient at using pivot tables to summarise large datasets. Previous experience of working in research administration in UK Higher Education or similar is desirable, as is knowledge of the research funding landscape.
