The Strategic Planning Directorate’s goal is to achieve better decision-making across the institution from the analysis, advice and insight we provide, to the trusted relationships we build with stakeholders and the data quality, governance and infrastructure that underpins it.
Recently reconfigured and expanded, now is a great time to join the Directorate as we look to enhance our contributions to delivering the University Strategy.
We are seeking an outstanding candidate to the lead the University’s approach to student number reporting and modelling. Managing a small team, they will combine leadership and hands-on delivery in developing and providing reporting on all stages of the student journey from forecasting and budgeting, to recruitment, enrolment and continuation reporting.
This is a critical role to the University and the successful candidate will be expected to proactively engage with a range of internal stakeholders such as Marketing and External Relations and Finance, empowering them with meaningful analysis and insight and working with them to build shared understanding on what drives trends in data and whether interventions are having measurable impacts. Within the Directorate they will ensure alignment with the Statutory Returns and Data Governance team and provide accurate and timely students numbers for use across a range of other internal processes such as Academic Workload Planning.
Externally the role-holder will be expected to develop and maintain positive working relationships, stay up-to-speed with sector developments and horizon scan within and beyond the sector for business intelligence trends that may present opportunities or risks to the University.
