Churchill College is seeking a talented individual to act as Governance Manager, covering a period of maternity leave.
This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience of a key role in a prestigious educational charity. You will support the HR and Governance Director by ensuring that robust governance processes are maintained and followed across the College. You will ensure that decisions are appropriately documented and communicated, facilitating the smooth operation of key College committees. You will also deal with other regulatory and compliance matters including Freedom of Information and Data Protection and corporate and risk registers, as well as having line management responsibility for a small secretariat team supporting the College's senior leaders and Fellowship.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail are essential to this post, together with experience of the efficient and effective operation of committee structures and meetings, including the timely production of high quality minutes. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of charity governance and some line management experience.
This role is offered on a 0.8-1FTE basis with flexible working patterns and opportunities for agile working, subject to the timing of key meetings within University term time. Candidates must be available to take up the post in December.
