About The Role
This fixed-term, part-time Tutor position (at 30% FTE for approximately 40 months till 31st January 2028), under the supervision of Professor Chenfeng Li, is being offered to cover and support exclusively the teaching and related administrative responsibilities of Professor Li. The role includes teaching modules, mentoring students, supervising undergraduate and postgraduate taught (PGT) projects, and handling departmental administrative tasks. All duties will be directly related to supporting Professor Chenfeng Li.
The ideal candidate will be familiar with Professor Li's modules, specifically Introduction to Civil Engineering Materials and Design and Analysis of Temporary Works, and will be able to assist with teaching activities immediately upon appointment. The candidate must possess research experience in construction materials, construction methods, and temporary works, including relevant laboratory and field work. They must be ready to support Professor Li in student and project supervision from the start of the role. Additionally, the ideal candidate should have strong connections to the UK and European construction industries and be capable of facilitating industry-oriented teaching and student projects from the outset.

Welsh Language Skills
The Welsh language level required for this role is Level 1 - A little. The role holder will be able to pronounce Welsh words, answer the phone in Welsh (good morning/afternoon) and use very basic everyday words and phrases (thank you, please etc.). Level 1 can be reached by completing a 1 hour course.
