We are looking for a motivated and curiosity-driven researcher to join our team to develop novel high resolution molecular profiling platform to investigate tumour microbiota. The research will integrate cutting-edge expertise from Raman micro-spectroscopy with Mass Spectrometry, oncology, bioinformatics, and clinical research, to develop new capabilities for investigating grand challenges in tumour resistance to immunotherapies.
The project is funded by the UKRI CRCRM pilot scheme, which supports new and creative interdisciplinary ideas. The successful candidate will work with world-class research groups at the University of Oxford, National Physical Laboratory, London and MD Anderson Cancer Centre, Texas. This will provide opportunities for training, networking and developing leadership skills

To be considered for an appointment at Grade 7, you must be able to perform the duties as listed for a Research Assistant position with a higher degree of independence, leadership and responsibility, particularly in relation to planning, funding, collaborating and publishing research, and mentoring colleagues. You must also have a Scottish Credit and Qualification Framework level 12 (PhD) or alternatively possess the equivalent in professional qualifications and experience, with experience of personal development in a similar or related role(s)
