CPRD FTC Researcher

Contract: Full Time/24 month fixed term contract

We are currently looking for a Researcher to join our Clinical Practice Research Datalink team in the Safety and Surveillance group.

Within a week of working here, your day could look like this: Researching project delivery, scientific support of CPRD’s research data governance process and output checking process.

The successful candidate will have:

• A degree in Epidemiology, Medical Statistics, Health Economics, Public Health or equivalent related qualification, and proven ability in conducting epidemiological research using large complex longitudinal datasets using STATA and/or R.  Have in depth understanding of epidemiological principles and statistical concepts and experience of applying this to research using primary care data and other health related data sources.  
• Have a working knowledge and understanding of quality assurance in research as demonstrated by the ability to identify and report on pertinent issues and suggest practical solutions. 
• Have excellent organisational skills with a proven ability to undertake and deliver multiple projects on time; able to work under pressure and to manage competing deadlines; able to work with a high degree of autonomy. 
• Be self-motivated, with a strong sense of personal accountability, ensuring tasks, projects and issues are appropriately dealt with to their successful delivery or conclusion.
