The UCL Centre for Languages & International Education (CLIE) is a distinct teaching Centre within the IOE. It upholds the values of UCL as a world-leading institution by enabling successful academic transition between diverse educational systems through a range of degree preparation and summer courses.
The UCL Summer School, within the CLIE, offers over 50 credit bearing modules from across UCL’s Faculties aimed at students wishing to pursue a high quality, academically challenging undergraduate summer programme for credit at UCL. The programme supports the achievement of a number of the UCL 2034 principal themes and key enablers.
About the role
Reporting to the Programme Manager, the Assistant Administrator plays a key role in the team which is responsible for the daily operation and administration of the UCL Summer School.
The role supports the delivery of both CLIE’s and the IOE’s Strategic Operating Plans.
Please note interviews will take place online via MS Teams on 26th November 2024.
Ideally, the successful candidate would be able to start in December.
About you
You will be a process-oriented individual, educated to degree level, with proven experience of successful programme administration in higher education.
You will be quick to learn, flexible, and possess an ability to prioritise a busy workload and remain calm under pressure.
You will be comfortable communicating with a range of stakeholders – both internally and externally – and will need to able to do so effectively in a variety of contexts, always demonstrating care and a high level of attention to detail in all your work.
You will have strong IT skills and experience of using Microsoft Office packages in a professional setting to a high standard.
Lastly, you will enjoy working with students from different nationalities and will want to ensure that all students on the Summer School have the best possible experience at UCL.
