About the role
Edge Hill University is looking to appoint a committed, enthusiastic clinician at consultant level (or within 6 months of CCT) with an academic research profile. This is a new post in collaboration with Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (WWL) and will provide the successful applicant with an opportunity to make a major contribution to research on microbiology and infectious disease at EHU.
The Department of Biology at Edge Hill University has a vibrant and active research community. Current research clusters explore regulation of cell signaling in cancer and degenerative conditions, endocrine hormone expression, insect and microbial vectors of disease, rare skin diseases, blood brain barrier models, pregnancy complications, age-related conditions, wound healing, gene therapies and nanotherapeutics.
