This role is based within CU Academic Services, a sister company of Coventry University and part of the Coventry University Group.
The Role
This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join our faced-paced, dynamic University Group at a senior level in Registry Services. Registry Services sits within Coventry University Group’s Academic Services division, and encompasses College Student Administration, Central Student Administration and Events, Quality and Accreditation and International Compliance. Based at our Coventry Campus, this role focusses on supporting one of the four major Colleges.
Reporting to the Academic Registrar via the Deputy Director, the Registrar is responsible for managing a team of 25-35 administrators and HE specialists dedicated to delivering first-class support for the academic journeys of our large and diverse student body. Your excellent leadership and communication skills will be essential to this role, and the ability to work collaboratively – both within the department and with clients and stakeholders – is absolutely crucial.
Your team is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and integrity are upheld. Providing expert guidance and support to students, teaching staff and professional services colleagues, your team will rely on you to build excellent working relationships with other senior managers and leaders.
Our Successful Candidate
A skilled communicator and collaborator, you will be experienced in bringing consistency and efficiency to working practices. You will understand how to identify risks and points of intervention, how develop solutions in a collaborative environment and how to adopt and promote the very best practices from across the University Group and the wider Higher Education sector.
You will need to have the skills, confidence and emotional intelligence to negotiate the dynamics created between the rigorous application of regulations, the delivery of service excellence and for upholding a duty of care to staff and students alike.
