Starting salary from £56,921 per annum (pro rata), dependent on skills and experience, with an annual increment up to £65,814 per annum (pro rata).
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Data Protection Officer to join the newly formed Legal, Governance and Compliance function.
Key duties of the role include holding the role of designated Data Protection Officer for the University with responsibility for ensuring that the University is compliant with its data protection obligations including UK GDPR.
You will lead the Information Compliance Team whose current responsibilities include information compliance, Freedom of Information, Environmental Information Regulations, Data Protection, providing responsive and accurate advice across a complex organisation on all matters relating to data protection agreements, disputes and transactions.
You will have the opportunity to shape the services delivered by the Information Compliance Team to ensure that the way in which the University manages information is compliant and maximises the opportunities for efficiency and contributes to the delivery of the Strategic ambitions.
This full-time post is available from 2 December 2024 on an indefinite basis.
