About the role
The Supergen Energy Networks Impact Hub (SEN) is funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC). The 5 year (Oct 2023 – Sept 2028), £9m hub brings together collaborative teams from Industry and Academia, Government and Civil Society to work together to Accelerate, Scale and Deliver interdisciplinary research to deliver real impact, to enable energy networks to become a driving force towards a rapid, safe and just transition to net zero.
We’re seeking a Research Assistant to provide subject specific research expertise to deliver research outcomes related to Work Package 3 (Markets and Regulations) and/or the Large-Scale Net Zero Energy Systems mission.
Based at the University of Bath, you will also work with the wider SEN team, liaising with the wider academic community, industry, businesses and policy makers to develop scalable modelling capability to inform large system investment and operation, and holistic and enduring commercial and regulatory solutions that are fit for the future such that both existing and new energy players can profit.
You will work with both technical and commercial solutions for energy networks to meet the current and future requirements of energy customers.
This position is offered on a full time basis, fixed term for 1 year.
