The School of Social Sciences at Birkbeck, University of London, is seeking to recruit an Associate Lecturer to deliver the module: Geopolitics of Environment and Resources.
As an Associate Lecturer you will teach:
You will have knowledge of critical perspectives on global environmental politics and experience teaching global politics or human geography, broadly conceived.
You will also be qualified to the corresponding level of the award as required to teach (or demonstrate equivalent professional/industry level experience).

Salary and benefits
Payment is based on an hourly rate for contact hours worked. The specific rate depends on length of continuous service with the College and includes of pro-rata London Allowance and holiday pay. This hourly rate of £68.13 per hour is based on the starting point of Grade 7 and is inclusive of a ‘Duties Related to Teaching Multiplier’ which covers preparation, teaching, administration, assessment marking and other examining duties in connection with the course.
Contract
Part-time, 3 month fixed-term contract Jan-March 2025. Teaching Wednesday evening 6-9pm. Closing date: Sunday 10 November 2024. Interview date: Monday 18 November 2024.
