Tenure-Track/Tenured Faculty Position in School of Sustainable Energy and Resources

School Introduction

The School of Energy and Resources of Nanjing University is one of the key colleges of Nanjing University in Suzhou Campus. Relying on the national "Double First-Class" disciplines of Nanjing University, such as physics, geology, chemistry, materials science and engineering, and mining engineering, and with the platform support of the State Key Laboratory of Solid Microstructure Physics and the Key Earth Material Cycle Frontier Science Center, the school is oriented to the strategic needs of "carbon neutrality", creates and shares the basic theories required for a livable earth and sustainable development of mankind, and is committed to developing cutting-edge science and technology for energy and material cycles, and establishing an energy and resource management system to meet the challenges of sustainable development. With applied basic disciplines as the fulcrum, the school works hand in hand with global partners to provide sustainable solutions and build a future of harmonious coexistence and sustainable development between man and nature. 

Recruitment Position Setting

The School of Energy and Resources of Nanjing University plans to recruit Assistant Professor or Associate Professor. Recruitment research directions include:

1. Green development and utilization of resources
2. Key element circulation and extraction
3. Recycling of retired wind, electricity and photovoltaic equipment
4. Energy conversion and storage
5. Energy-saving materials and technologies
6. Carbon capture, storage and utilization
7. Carbon emission factors and macro models 

Application Requirements

1. Commitment to academic teaching and research, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
2. High standards of professional conduct, including adherence to teaching and research ethics; no history of criminal convictions or academic misconduct.
3. Strong academic background: Ph.D. in a closely related field. Candidates should have experience studying and working in leading research institutions, with a demonstrated record of academic excellence.
   1. For tenure-track Assistant Professor roles, ideally, at least two years of postdoctoral research experience.
   2. For tenure-track Associate Professor roles, ideally, at least four years of postdoctoral research experience.
4. Proven teaching ability, including the capacity to deliver core and advanced courses effectively. Candidates should be familiar with modern teaching methodologies and possess strong verbal communication skills.
5. Demonstrated research excellence and potential for continued academic development: a solid record of innovative research with international visibility and a clear and ambitious research agenda.
