About the Role

We are seeking an effective and committed Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Hospitality & Tourism, with a specialism in Events and Leisure Management. You will join a forward-thinking academic team dedicated to delivering engaging and practical learning experiences that develop the next generation of industry professionals.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead and deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching across undergraduate and/or postgraduate programmes.

  • Contribute to curriculum design and enhancement, using innovative and blended learning methods.

  • Engage in research, scholarly activity or professional practice aligned with your academic interests and teaching.

  • Supervise student research projects and dissertations.

  • Support student success through academic advising and personal tutoring.

  • Participate in broader departmental and institutional activities, including open days and employer engagement.

For those applying at Senior Lecturer level, additional responsibilities include programme leadership, mentoring colleagues, and strategic contributions to research, student experience or employability initiatives.

About You

You are an experienced academic or industry professional with:

  • A master's degree (essential) and ideally a PhD or equivalent experience in a relevant subject.

  • A solid foundation in Events and Leisure Management, with the ability to connect theory to practice.

  • A passion for teaching and learning, with experience designing and delivering innovative and inclusive education.

  • The ability to build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and industry partners.

  • A commitment to equality, diversity, and student-centred learning.
