It is one of the most deeply characterised adult twin cohorts in the world, providing a rich platform for scientists to research health and ageing longitudinally.
About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated Data Manager to lead the management and security of our data. This role is responsible for provisioning of efficient data collection, curation, governance and access across various research studies, ensuring data integrity and compliance. This involves coordinating with internal teams (admin/clinic/lab/academic) and external collaborators for data acquisition.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health research or a related field. The role is responsible for overseeing data cleansing, harmonisation and curation and supporting study setup through questionnaire development and participant selection. This role will be skilled in using databases and related applications, and development of these is an advantage. The role also involves facilitating data linkage and NHS/CAG coordination, as well as representing the DTR and reporting to and from external data organisations.
Through own expertise and collaboration with developers and stakeholders, the role will enhance database functionality and maintain structured, high-quality research data for ongoing and future studies.
The role is ideal for a passionate data administrator/developer and is also a great opportunity for an academic researcher/epidemiologist who wishes to pursue a data management career.
How to Apply: Submit your CV, cover letter, and two references. Your cover letter should highlight your expertise, motivation, and how you would enhance our Data Team.
This is a full-time post (35 Hours per week), and you will be offered a fixed term contract until 31/12/2028.
