About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time Employee Relations Adviser (28 hours per week) to join our well-established Employee Relations team.
What you would be doing
You will be responsible for managing and coordinating a full range of casework, which includes supporting managers with disciplinary, formal resolution and research misconduct investigations. You will also provide advice and guidance on performance and probation issues, sickness hearings and flexible working appeals, supporting the chairs of these panels.
You will deliver training to managers on a range of ER issues including Investigating Officer training, be proactive in making recommendations and contributing to improvements to the ER service. You will also input in reviewing policies, procedures and recommending new/agile ways of working.
Our focus is on dispute resolution, therefore, you will be expected to utilise conflict management skills to resolve issues informally through facilitated conversations.

Hybrid working may be considered for this role. Staff working in roles that are suitable for hybrid working will normally be expected to work 60% of their time onsite. The opportunity for hybrid working will be discussed at interview.
