About Library and Information Resources Service
The Library and Information Resources (LIR) service is an active partner in the life cycle of research and scholarship, including planning, discovery, knowledge mobilisation and publication. We offer dynamic physical and virtual spaces where we curate collections and offer opportunities for learning, creativity and collaboration among students, staff and the wider community. We are known for the development and implementation of innovative technology, leadership in Open Access and excellent in-person and online user services. We have held full Customer Service Excellence (CSE) accreditation since 2019, serving a diverse student population based within the UK and overseas. The University Librarian has a team of approximately 100 staff and an annual non-staffing budget of £4.5 million. Our collections reflect the wide range of academic disciplines taught at the University.
Interviews are scheduled to take place on 1 September 2025.
