Central Saint Martins is looking for a committed and inspiring Associate Lecturer to join the teaching team on our well-established and highly regarded BA (Hons) Jewellery Design course.
This is a great opportunity to be part of a course that’s known for pushing boundaries, encouraging students to experiment, think critically and define what jewellery means today. You’ll play a key role in helping them develop creative confidence and produce work that explores the cultural, social and material possibilities of the discipline.
Working alongside the Course and Pathway Leaders, you’ll be involved in delivering studio teaching, critiques, tutorials and project briefs across one or more year groups. You’ll support students in developing their skills in making, materials, digital tools and research-led design, while also bringing your own practice or research into an inclusive teaching environment that values open discussion, curiosity and diverse perspectives.
About you
You are an engaged practitioner or educator with a deep understanding of the jewellery discipline and a commitment to supporting diverse student voices.
You will bring:
Whether your background is rooted in traditional techniques, digital craft, speculative design, or socially engaged work, we are particularly interested in candidates whose practice engages with issues of ethics, sustainability, culture or identity.
