About the External Relations Directorate
We have built an integrated multi award multi-award-winning External Relations Directorate that has brought together several teams, including Brand & Marketing, Communications & Public Relations, Corporate Engagement & Advancement, Student Recruitment & Conversion (home and international), Admissions, Outreach & Access, Design and Digital.
We are seeking leaders who will help embed innovative practices and a digital-first mindset within our External Relations Directorate. About the Job
We’re seeking a creative and driven Internal Communications Officer to join our innovative Internal Communications team at the University of East London.
In this role, you’ll design and deliver high-impact communication campaigns that engage our diverse student community. From writing clear and compelling content to shaping institution-wide messaging strategies, you’ll work across teams to ensure students feel informed, connected, and inspired.
You’ll be a trusted advisor on communications, working with senior leaders, student groups, and colleagues across the University to bring important initiatives and stories to life
What You’ll Need to Thrive
- A degree or professional experience in communications, ideally with internal or student-facing audiences.
- Excellent writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify complex messages.
- Confidence using digital tools (e.g. Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint) and a curiosity for learning new systems.
- Strong relationship-building and influencing skills across all levels.
- Exceptional planning, organisation, and the ability to thrive under pressure.
