Are you a talented Sports Coaching educator who is passionate about teaching the next generation of Sports Coaches? If so, Birmingham City University is looking to recruit you.
Birmingham City University launched its BSc (Hons) Sports Coaching and Physical Education degree in 2019, from its expertise and strong reputation in Physical Education and Sport Sciences. Following significant growth in the course and the recent accreditation with CIMSPA, we are seeking to recruit a full-time, permanent lecturer with the skills and expertise to complement our existing team. Your expertise will develop and enhance our teaching and learning in Sports Coaching and will support the wider Sport department.
We are specifically seeking an individual with expertise in Sports Coaching and Physical Activity, additional knowledge/experience of Strength and Conditioning would also be favoured. Applications from highly innovative educators from any field relating to Sport Sciences would also be considered.
You will have an MSc (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline and ideally will be recognised as a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). Applications from suitably qualified professionals with industrial or professional experience will be particularly welcome. Applicants would ideally have teaching experience in Higher Education and be able to demonstrate their innovative teaching practice and student-centred approaches to enhancing teaching and learning.
