Main duties and responsibilities
As Project Officer, you will provide vital support to the UHICS Programme Director and associated hubs, helping to coordinate programme activities, facilitate communications and reporting, and support the delivery and implementation of projects. You will be responsible for working closely with the UHICS hubs and their leads as directed by the programme director to provide project support and facilitate knowledge exchange ensuring hub alignment and shared learning across sites as well as being responsible for producing good-quality reports, presentations, and briefings for internal and external stakeholders. You will also oversee partnership communication channels and comms plan – monitor webpages and campaigns ensure they are up to date and generate new content with stakeholders as needed.
Skills and experience required
You will have proven experience of providing project and professional support to a range of senior stakeholders and significant experience supporting projects in health, education, or local government from inception through to completion, including coordinating meetings, tracking actions, and supporting delivery across multiple workstreams. You will have the ability to prepare presentations, draft clear reports and engaging updates for stakeholders at all levels as well as the ability to organise events, workshops and creative spaces for collaboration and shared learning.
You will be able to collect, process and present complex data, bringing together insights, data and people to support joined up working with excellent administrative and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, monitor progress, manage risks, and help the team stay focused on the big picture. Being accurate, meticulous, able to handle confidential work discreetly along with strong communication and collaborative working skills is essential. You’ll be highly motivated, confident and flexible and able to show initiative. Strong problem-solving skills and competent use of standard MS Office applications is essential.
Qualifications required
You will be educated with a minimum of a Degree or equivalent, or significant relevant proven experience.
