About Us

We are looking to recruit a Registry School Academic Officer to join the Registry School Service Team. The Registry School Services team provide UEL’s academic schools with bespoke and tailored support for all their learning and teaching requirements. We strive to provide excellent and consistent standards of professional support to our academic teams as well as students. Our academics are supported by us building strong partnerships, listening to feedback and ensuring services are tailored to the strategic needs of their departments.

About the Job

The post holder will be allocated a portfolio of academic courses in the School of Arts and Creative industries across both undergraduate and taught postgraduate levels. They will be responsible for providing a friendly, agile, streamlined, and responsive service which will empower and enable academics to deliver excellence in teaching and learning

The post holder will facilitate communication between academic staff and the Academic Registry, encouraging positive relationships for flawless service delivery. Tasks include building and overseeing module diets and timetabling and the interpretation and implementation of university-wide initiatives, processes and regulatory requirements at school level.

About You

The position offers an exciting opportunity to be involved in a vibrant academic environment that improves the student experience. Successful candidates should be educated to A-Level standard or equivalent qualification and/or experience, have a keen appreciation of providing a high level of customer service, along with strong IT and data leadership skills, very good communication and relationship building skills, the ability to work optimally within a team to prioritise work effectively. Experience in supporting the administration of education and instruction within the Higher Education sector would be helpful.

Work in shared offices at Docklands and University Square Stratford; be proactive, adaptable, and collaborative. You will also be required to support other colleagues and fulfill any additional responsibilities that fall under the job's scope, spirit, and objectives.
