About the Role
This is an opportunity to work as part of the team and project “Development of Multi-Modal Foundational Models and AI Accelerators for Zero-shot Intelligent Surveillance System” funded by Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology (KIAT), led by Dr Changjae Oh. The objective of the postdoctoral research assistant position is to investigate and advance vision-language object detection models, with a focus on achieving generalisable multimodal understanding in zero-shot settings.
About You
The successful candidate must have a PhD (or equivalent) in the field of computer vision or a closely related area. They will possess the skills and ability to conduct high-quality, innovative research and to successfully disseminate the outcome through peer-reviewed publications. They will be highly motivated, demonstrate strong collaboration skills with other project members, and show a clear commitment to research excellence and ethical conduct.

The post is based at the Mile End Campus in London. It is a full time (35 hours per week), fixed term appointment for 18 months, with an expected start date of January 2026. The starting salary will be Grade 4, in the range of £38,419 - £46,618 per annum inclusive of London Allowance.
