Aston University’s 2030 strategy is Inclusive, Entrepreneurial and Transformational. We are building a new model of university for a changing world. Our vision is to be a leading university of science, technology and enterprise, measured by the positive transformational impact we achieve for our people, students, businesses and the communities we serve.
The successful candidate will join the Aston Foundation Centre. Part of the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences, we are a close-knit, collaborative team where creativity and mutual support are at the heart of everything we do.
As the successful candidate will be expected to contribute to, develop and enhance the teaching and scholarship activities within the Aston Foundation Centre, both independently and as part of the team. You will be expected to teach on and support the teaching of key modules within the department, with potential collaborations on modules within the wider undergraduate provision of the College, with a focus on supporting engineering science, mathematics, and project-based learning. Alongside this you will contribute to citizenship within the department, such as being a department Health & Safety Coordinator and acting as the first line of support to students as a personal tutor.
The successful candidate will need to hold a degree in a STEM discipline and will have experience of teaching and assessing students with demonstrable impact on students learning.
