Newcastle University - Creative Industries Policy and Evidence Centre (Creative PEC)

Location: Newcastle upon Tyne, Hybrid
Salary: £31,236 to £34,610 per annum.
Hours: Full Time
Contract Type: Fixed-Term/Contract
Placed On: 12th November 2025
Closes: 23rd November 2025
Job Ref: 28543

We are a world class research-intensive university. We deliver teaching and learning of the highest quality. We play a leading role in economic, social and cultural development of the North East of England. Attracting and retaining high-calibre people is fundamental to our continued success.

The Role
This is a new role designed to help Creative PEC's Research Network Manager plan and deliver our portfolio of high-profile research outputs. The successful applicant will contribute to the design, development, management, and timely completion of complex, multi-partner, and high-impact projects. The role will involve both contract and content management, maintaining internal databases and collaborating with people across Creative PEC's portfolio, including Research Consortium Partners, Research Fellows, external partners, key stakeholders, and commissioned researchers.

The Creative Industries Policy and Evidence Centre (Creative PEC) has an exciting opportunity for a Research Coordinator to support and deliver work that furthers understanding of the creative industries in the UK and beyond.

We are looking for someone that is organised and methodical, with a love of creativity and the generation of new knowledge. You will be stimulated by research culture and ready to grapple with the intricacies of commissioning and producing evidence-led reports, resulting in policy recommendations.

Based either at Newcastle University Business School or our London office at the Royal Society of Arts, you will find Creative PEC to be a friendly and fulfilling place to work, where your ideas can make a real difference. As an employee of the University, you will be able to make use of a number of benefits, including a generous holiday package, great pension, and health and wellbeing packages. The role has some flexibility in working pattern, but with the preference for at least three days a week on site.

The role is full-time, fixed-term until the end of May 2028, and we encourage applications from individuals who can complement our existing team. We believe that success is built on having teams whose backgrounds and experiences reflect the diversity of the UK population.
