About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the UK’s leading centres for health data science and methodological innovation. The Department of Biostatistics and Health Informatics (BHI) at King’s College London is internationally recognised for its research excellence at the intersection of data science, artificial intelligence, and mental health. Our work spans methodological development and real-world application, driving improvements in health outcomes and healthcare delivery.

This 50% Education / 50% Research lectureship offers the opportunity to make a distinctive contribution to our teaching programmes while developing a high-quality, independent research portfolio in digital health, artificial intelligence, and health informatics. The postholder will play a key role in our award-winning MSc in Applied Statistical Modelling and Health Informatics (ASMHI), contributing to programme and module leadership, course delivery, and curriculum enhancement. Working collaboratively with an experienced and supportive team, you will help shape the future direction of postgraduate education in this rapidly evolving field.

You will also develop your own research programme, with opportunities to collaborate across King’s—including the AI Institute, the School of Mental Health & Psychological Sciences, and our NHS and industry partners. We particularly welcome candidates whose expertise complements existing departmental strengths in machine learning, multimodal data integration, digital phenotyping, and trial emulation using electronic health records.

This is a full-time post (35 hours per week) offered on an indefinite contract.
