The Department of Politics, Languages and International Studies (PoLIS) is seeking to appoint a maternity cover in Spanish language.
The appointment will be for 12 months on a 0.5 part-time basis, starting in January 2026.
About the role
The post holder will contribute to teaching of Spanish language across all three undergraduate language programmes.
They will be expected to teach and mark undergraduate work & contribute to oral exams.
We are looking for a candidate with experience of teaching students of Spanish as a foreign language, ideally in a higher education setting.
Candidates should be able to work independently & prepare teaching materials where required.
Candidates should be happy working in a team, sharing good practice and be willing to take part in additional activities organised for Spanish learners.
Candidates should have high levels of fluency in both Spanish & English.
