We are seeking an enthusiastic, proactive and highly organized Research Assistant to join Associate Professor Eleanor Leigh’s CAMY (Cognitive and behavioural Approaches to Mental health in Young people) research group on a project which aims to develop and validate a scalable and developmentally sensitive self-report measure of anhedonia in young people, as well as contributing to ongoing activities in our team. 

Being responsible for the day-to-day administrative duties and the recruitment of young people as participants through schools, you will have excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work effectively with complex systems such as schools, and an understanding of anhedonia and common mental health problems in young people.

You will have a degree (2:1 or above) in psychology, together with excellent organisational and communication skills, experience with setting up and managing large databases with good knowledge of statistics. Flexibility to work some irregular hours to fit with participants’ availability and the ability to travel will be an advantage. The post-holder will contribute to high-quality research activities supporting this project and promote open science and use transparent reporting and data handling practices according to the highest standards. 

The post is full time and fixed term, initially funded for 12 months and will require a satisfactory enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check due to regulated activity involving children.
