Strategic Change is working in partnership with senior leaders across the University to deliver a portfolio of strategic projects and programmes in support of Liverpool 2031 and other institutional priorities. We are now seeking to recruit an experienced and motivated Project Manager to join our team on a fixed term contract to cover a period of maternity leave.
As a Project Manager, you will manage the end-to-end delivery of complex projects that drive change across the University’s professional and academic services. You will work closely with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels to define project objectives, develop detailed plans, manage resources, and oversee governance, risk and reporting arrangements.
You will ensure that projects are delivered to agreed standards of quality, time and budget, while maintaining a clear focus on benefits realisation and alignment with the University’s strategic objectives.
Working within a supportive team of Project Managers and Project Support Officers, you will contribute to a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement across the organisation. The role requires excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence, negotiate and build productive relationships across diverse communities.
You will ensure that the project activities are delivered in accordance with agreed Strategic Change Department processes and project management methodologies, and in compliance with University policies and procedures.
Enthusiastic, organised, adaptable, and self-motivated, you will have a proven track record of delivering first-class project management.
Please note that this role is to cover a period of maternity leave, expected to be from February 2026 until March 2027.
