About Us
Assessment Services is a dynamic and fast-paced team of twelve within the wider Academic Registry. We play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality assessment and awards processes across the University.
Working collaboratively with other Registry teams and key stakeholders, we ensure that all assessment activity runs smoothly and efficiently. Each Assessment Officer is responsible for a designated academic school or specialist area, partnering with Assessment Managers to provide a robust, student-focused service.

About the Job
The Registry School Assessment Officer provides high-quality administrative support within Assessment Services to ensure that students, staff, and schools receive a consistent, accurate, and responsive service. The role is responsible for maintaining and interpreting assessment data in SITS, managing key assessment activities such as assessment boards, results processing, and the production of awards and transcripts, while proactively ensuring data accuracy and compliance with university regulations. The Officer supports the coordination and delivery of examinations and assessments, responds to student enquiries, and contributes to quality assurance by working to defined standards and timescales. The position requires strong organisational skills, effective stakeholder collaboration, attention to detail, and the ability to work flexibly across sites and during peak periods to promote a positive and seamless student experience.
This is a fixed term contract for 12 months.
About You
Do you have relevant experience and knowledge of student assessment administration including all aspects of delivering assessment boards and experience of examination administration?
Do you thrive in a very busy environment of assessment regulations, managing a challenging workload and co-ordinating key activities?
Working within a team of administrators, the role involves providing a service to an academic school in delivering their assessment boards, maintaining accurate results records, examination material collation and the production and issue of certificates and transcripts.
Applicants should have relevant experience and be confident in speaking to groups of people. Experience of using SITs would be an advantage
