Head of Cloud, Networks and Infrastructure (Platforms)

As Head of Cloud, Networks and Infrastructure (Platforms), you will head up our Platforms section, looking after our Servers, Storage, Cloud resources and Infrastructure Platforms.

You’ll be a core member of the main leadership team for Cloud, Networks and Infrastructure and part of the extended Digital Transformation Services (DTS) Leadership, providing strategic lead for your area.  You’ll be leading a team of Infrastructure Managers, Consultants and Analysts, along with being responsible for supplier management for all Servers, Storage, Platforms and Azure Cloud services and much more.

What we are looking for:

• Extensive service/technical management experience
• Experience of leading technical teams with a background of Platforms, Servers and Storage, and Cloud services.
• Experience working in a large and complex IT department, aligned to ITIL practices, ideally with Platforms, Servers and Storage, and Cloud services. FinOps experience would be a bonus.
• Experience of building strong working relationships with key senior stakeholders

Responsibilities will include:

• Assisting in developing and improving customer-focused services, promoting efficiency through standardized procedures and systems.
• Developing the strategy for Cloud, Servers and Storage and Platform Strategy
• Working towards the FinOps principle to ensure costs are actively tracked & monitored
• Ensuring IT projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to plan.
• Proactively managing service availability and capacity to meet SLAs.
• Providing professional mentoring, coaching and training.
• Overseeing system maintenance, including upgrades, security updates, and user access management.
• Ensuring services meet capacity, standards, and availability targets.
