We are delighted to be recruiting a Research Development Manager (Horizon Europe & Peer Review) to join our Horizon Team within the University’s Research, Partnerships and Innovation Directorate. You will be part of a team of five working on projects that span the university and all three of the Horizon Europe pillars to broaden engagement with the programme leading ultimately to a growth in our research income.
This varied role includes horizon scanning, sharing intelligence and developing best practice resources for research communities, and supporting academic leads to scope and develop competitive projects. This will include helping to coordinate support for cohorts of European Research Council applicants.
Part of the role involves working with the Institutional Peer Review College to deliver internal peer review activities for Horizon Europe and other major funders, including designing peer review processes and coordinating mock interviews.
You will have a degree or equivalent experience, a relevant understanding of the research funding landscape, and experience of supporting research development at scale. You will have excellent communication skills, be a self-starter, a team player and enjoy collaborative working.
The post is fixed term until July 2027, based on the Liverpool campus with some hybrid working possible. You will join a supportive central team working across the University to enhance research development, maximise bid quality and grow our research income.
