About the Service -External Relations
We have built an integrated multi-award winning External Relations Directorate that has brought together several teams including Brand & Marketing, Communications & Public Relations, Corporate Engagement & Advancement, Student Recruitment & Conversion (home and international), Admissions, Outreach & Access, and Design and Digital.
We are looking for leaders who will be part of embedding an innovative practice and a digital first mindset within our External Relations Directorate. We seek individuals who not only enjoy working in an agile environment but also demonstrate a willingness to embrace new technology and transformational change. Together, we aim to cultivate a culture of 'continuous next', staying updated with emerging technologies and best practice across the sector.
This role sits within the CRM Centre of Expertise (COE), part of the Change and Transformation team within our External Relations Directorate.
About the Job
In this role, you’ll manage an established CRM team responsible for designing, delivering, and improving targeted CRM nurture and conversion campaigns for prospective home students. You’ll work with Microsoft Dynamics 365 to shape data-driven, customer-centric journeys from enquiry through to enrolment.
You’ll be working with colleagues across UK Recruitment, Marketing, the CRM Centre of Expertise, and IT Services to ensure campaigns are effective, compliant, and aligned with business goals. Making sure we engage and nurture our future students through every step of their journey.
The role holder will need experience of:
- Using and managing CRM marketing function
- Developing, delivering, evaluating, and optimising multi-channel campaigns
- Managing a team in a high process environment, including the development of talent to deliver the organisation’s strategy andgoals.
- Capturing and managing data via online forms and event software
About You
We are looking for a forward-thinking and innovative CRM professional, with significant experience in leading on multi-channel nurture and conversion campaigns. With strong project management skills, you’ll be able to balance competing priorities whilst delivering excellent customer service in a busy, creative environment. The successful candidate will be an expert in systems including CRM and automation, with a strong eye for detail and quality. A true all-rounder, you will bring your knowledge and experience to advance our planning, execution and evaluation, delivering a cycle of continuous improvement.
To succeed, you’ll need significant experience managing a CRM marketing function (ideally in Higher Education), strong expertise in CRM and marketing automation systems, and a solid understanding of the UK Recruitment student journey. You’ll also have proven leadership experience in a high-process environment, excellent communication skills and a commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
