Based at our Stratford campus in the newly formed Office of the Health Campus, our service supports the collaboration of UEL’s innovative research and teaching within the School of Health, Sport and Bioscience. The school have a successful and expanding portfolio of accredited taught programmes and exciting new postgraduate programmes on offer.  Our team ensures that students enrolled in these courses are Industry 5.0 employer-ready, by providing a service that is future focused, efficient and has sustainability principles at its core. 

About the Job

We are seeking to appoint a Technical Assistant to join the Hospital & Primary Care Training Hub (HPCTH) technical team within the Office of the Health campus to provide high quality support for our teaching in the School of Health, Sport & Bioscience.   As part of a supportive and forward-thinking team, you will be responsible for ensuring HPCTH teaching resources are set up and available in advance of teaching events, assisting with the requisitioning of items using the University Purchasing System and ensuring adequate stocks of instruments, equipment, and consumables by means of regular stocktaking and the production of inventories.

About You

You will have basic technical knowledge and/or experience in healthcare simulation-based learning in Higher Education or NHS settings, and a commitment towards a career in Technical Support.  You will have good basic IT skills, including the Microsoft Office 365 suite.

You will be customer-focused, with excellent communication skills and the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems. You will have good organisational skills which can be applied to the role, and the ability to follow procedures in an accurate and timely manner.
