About Quality Assurance and Enhancement (QAE)
Quality Assurance and Enhancement (QAE) is responsible for the development and implementation of the University’s academic quality assurance processes. Our department's work includes managing the approval and regular review of courses at UEL and our academic partner institutions; student engagement and surveys; the external examining framework and servicing of committees. Working collaboratively across the University, we focus on continually enhancing our student experience as well as supporting UEL to meet the requirements of external regulation.
About the Job
Working within our team of Quality Assurance and Enhancement Officers, you will act as a quality representative, providing specialist advice and guidance to UEL’s academic schools and our partners on the University’s quality assurance processes and regulations. Each Officer is allocated their own portfolio of responsibilities from the shared job description, and there are opportunities to gain experience in a range of activities to develop your career in higher education quality assurance. This is a one-year fixed term post.
You will take a lead in the planning and organisation of quality assurance and enhancement activities and be responsible for managing projects. Your responsibilities will include representing the team and providing high-level administrative support for University committees and working groups, organising complex events, data analysis, report writing and supporting the validation and review of UEL courses in the UK and occasionally overseas.
This role is based at our Docklands Campus with hybrid working available.
About You
You will have experience of quality assurance frameworks in higher education (or an equivalent organisation). You’ll be organised, proactive and have proficient administrative and analytical skills with attention to detail, as well as being an excellent communicator.
The successful candidate will be expected to form strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the university and be an authoritative point of contact on quality assurance to ensure policies and processes are implemented effectively.
