About the Role
We are recruiting for a three‑year fixed‑term Associate Lecturer (Teaching) in Quantitative Methods, starting 1 September 2026. The successful candidate will contribute to quantitative methods teaching and pursue research in any area of political science. This post is designed for aspiring academics who have completed a PhD or are close to completion, offering the opportunity to develop teaching experience, strengthen an independent research agenda, and participate fully in a dynamic academic community.
The main purpose of the role is to contribute to the Department’s intellectual life by:
Delivering quantitative methods teaching across undergraduate and/or postgraduate programmes, depending on evolving departmental needs.
Conducting research of international standard that enhances the Department’s research culture, standing and impact.
Contributing to departmental administration and participating actively in its academic community.
This is a full‑time, fixed‑term Grade 7 post, with a salary of £47,451–£52,586 per annum.
About You
We welcome applications from early‑career academics seeking to expand their teaching and research experience. Candidates should have teaching experience in quantitative methods, knowledge of advanced quantitative techniques, and experience or potential in teaching administration and academic research.

Selection Process
