Applications are invited for the above fixed term, full-time post working in the Public Health Collaborating Unit in the School of Health Sciences at Bangor University (Wrexham Technology Park, Wrexham). The Public Health Collaborating Unit is a public health/academic collaborative funded by Public Health Wales which provides a flexible and efficient resource for rapid assessment, evaluation and policy development support to serve Public Health Wales and the wider NHS.
The post holder will provide research support for projects being undertaken by the PHCU to support the development of trauma informed practice, social connection and violence prevention. This will include an evaluation of trauma-informed training being conducted nationally in Wales and contributions to systematic literature reviews.
Duties will include supporting study development and contributing to data collection (mixed-method), management, data analysis, report and paper writing.
Candidates should be educated to a minimum of a Masters level in a health-related subject and have previous experience of working in applied public health research.
Knowledge of public health, research methods and excellent written communication skills are essential. The successful applicant is expected to be proficient in undertaking qualitative data collection methods and using research related software for quantitative analysis.
The successful candidate will be expected to commence as soon as possible and the post is available until 31st March 2027.
This role will be located on campus at Wrexham. Through our Dynamic Working framework, there will also be the option to spend some time working remotely (although remaining in the UK) to support work life balance, which will be discussed further with candidates at interview.
