The Programme Manager is an integral part of a small team responsible for the successful management and delivery of the post-graduate taught (PGT) MRes programme, the first element of the Business School’s Doctoral Programme.
Working across all academic departments within the Business School, you will nurture good working relationships with faculty and a small cohort of students, contributing to the success of future researchers and academics.
What you would be doing:
Reporting to the Senior Programme Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the student experience through proactive one-to-one engagement with MRes students, offering individualised support that enables academic success, professional growth, and a strong sense of belonging within the research community.
Working on a small yet complex programme, you will manage student administration, assessments, timetabling, academic processes and programme communications, while providing expert advice on policies and procedures. You will work collaboratively with faculty and external partners, and contribute to continuous improvements across programme delivery.
What we are looking for:
Dedicated to providing the highest quality of support, you will need to be confident in working collaboratively with students, faculty and other stakeholders.
You will have excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, as well as having strong communication skills, ideally gained through work in higher education. You must be a strong team player with the proven ability to use your own initiative and work with minimal supervision. You will need to demonstrate a pro-active, positive attitude and the ability to juggle several tasks confidently.
