The Medical Sciences Division seeks to appoint to a new senior role to support the delivery of the portfolio of strategically important projects and initiatives across the Division. This is a senior management post within the Divisional Office offering an interesting and challenging role within the University's largest academic division.
The post-holder will work with the Head of Strategic Planning and Projects across the whole portfolio of strategic projects and initiatives with the Medical Sciences Division liaising with the Head of Division and other senior members of the University as necessary.
You will be responsible for establishing the Division’s new Project Management Office that will support the delivery of an agreed portfolio of strategic activities. You will provide support to a new Programme Board that will play a critical oversight role across the full range of activities of the PMO. You will also be the specified lead for some specific major initiatives.
You will have strong intellectual and analytical skills, together with excellent communication skills (both orally and in writing) and the capacity to deal effectively with a range of complex issues in a University environment. Numeracy, good project management skills and the ability to gain the trust and confidence of people at all levels, both within and outside Oxford, are also essential. Experience of supporting projects requiring change management and novel solutions is essential.
