The post of Timetabling, Exams and Graduation Officer (Graduation) is part of Academic Registry and sits within the Timetabling, Exams and Graduation area of the team. The team is responsible for a number of key areas of operation: teaching timetabling, examination scheduling, examination operation, graduation operation, academic misconduct administration. The team reports directly to the Academic Registrar and supports the Academic Registrar as required in order to support the successful achievement of Academic Registry objectives. The team also works collaboratively with the University’s Faculties, Divisions, and Professional Services Units to achieve institutional objectives.
The key purpose of the Timetabling, Exams and Graduation Officer (Graduation) role is to carry out the Academic Registry aspects of operation in respect of the University’s graduation arrangements and ceremonies, and to support the Timetabling, Exams and Graduation areas’ wider responsibilities and objectives.
It is a requirement of this role that the post holder’s working hours are flexible to meet the demands of the business and to support key University events. In particular, this is likely to require the post holder to work out with “normal working hours” during exam periods and graduation ceremonies. Additionally staff are required to occasionally work at the weekend for example during the exam diet and when assisting at an enrolment/ID event for students.
