Media Technician (Projection and Multimedia)

Central are seeking a Media Technician experienced in the use of Video and Multimedia in live performance and its future trajectory. An individual who enjoys devising and discovering new ways to use and interface existing Video and Multimedia Technologies in live performance. 

You will join the media team of two within our Technical & Production Department and offer specialist support and guidance for students, academic staff and visiting professionals in the use of Central’s media resources. 

This Media Technician will be a lynchpin point of advice and training for students and staff on Video and Multimedia equipment use, specification, design and installation. You will have the opportunity to work on practical installation tasks, technical troubleshooting and mentoring of students in performance spaces and filming locations; you will also utilise and develop your skills in resource management logistics and the facilitation of others through expert consultation and training. 

The successful candidate would need demonstrable practical experience in relevant technologies as outlined in the job description, a talent for creative problem solving, an enjoyment of working with others, and an ability to back up your creative skills with diligent and timely management, documentation and communication across multiple simultaneous projects.

APPOINTMENT PROCESS
