Research Associate

Swalcliffe Park School

Swalcliffe Park is an ‘Outstanding’ specialist day and residential school providing education, therapeutic support and residential care for secondary aged boys all of whom have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Condition ASC.  We offer excellent working conditions in a beautiful location with opportunities for career development and training staff. The school also has ‘Advanced Level’ Autism Accreditation and an ‘Enhanced Practice’ commendation.

Research Associate (Fixed term April 2024 - August 2025)

Pay scale:  Universities Non-Clinical Scale, £31,396  £32,982 per annum (depending on experience and qualifications).

We are currently looking to offer a short-term temporary contract to fulfil the role of Research Associate reporting to the CEO. The role includes specific responsibilities to analyse ‘Quality of Life’ data, write reports for publication and presentation. This role is to help fulfil a School Improvement Plan action to complete 3 research studies by the end of this academic year.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A 1st Class or high Upper Second Class Honours Degree in a relevant subject (Essential)
  • A research based Master’s Degree in a relevant subject (Essential)
  • PhD in a relevant subject (Desirable)
  • Demonstrable experience and application of data analysis, research methodologies and writing of research papers/presenting results
  • The ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to work with a range of people
  • Demonstrable passion to develop their academic research practice and experience and interest in neurodivergent populations

This is a full-time position and a 16 months fixed term contract.

Hybrid working option available; must be able to access rural Oxfordshire on an occasional basis.
