About us

The Data Science Research Group at the University of Southampton is based in the Primary Care Research Centre. We aim to understand patterns, trends, and associations of diseases to inform preventive action in the UK and international contexts. Our group includes a diverse multidisciplinary team conducting high quality and innovative research addressing complex health and social care challenges of the 21st century. We employ traditional statistical and epidemiological methods, alongside cutting-edge  artificial intelligence algorithms to gain insights into real-world problems. This is combined with qualitative research to provide   deeper understanding, insights and application of big data findings.

You will contribute to qualitative interviews, thematic analysis, evidence synthesis and draft high-quality academic research papers for dissemination.
