Location: Usher Institute moves to a new building in Edinburgh Bioquarter, Spring 2024.
The Centre for Medical Informatics at the Usher Institute within The University of Edinburgh is looking for a Community Engagement and Involvement Research Fellow to deliver meaningful involvement with patient, public and community members, as part of a number of research projects.
The Opportunity:
We wish to appoint an outstanding Research Fellow to develop and deliver Community Engagement and Involvement (CEI). Playing a key delivery role across the Respiratory Portfolio, and potentially helping to extend high quality Involvement to other research areas in the Usher Institute, the post holder will be responsible for facilitating high impact public and community involvement in a range of research studies. They will build excellent working relationships with research collaborators, partners, funders and the public, including the provision of training and support for these different groups. They will use NIHR and Unicef standards in their work, and will develop new methodologies for research studies where required. Partnership working and leadership are key for this role, and the successful applicant will be enthusiastic, confident and have experience of working with different groups in a research environment.
Informal enquiries may be directed to Dr Tracy Jackson, Senior Research Fellow and PPI Respiratory Lead, tracy.jackson@ed.ac.uk.
